Meet the People Behind the Work
RUTH LEMON
SKOPE Coordinator
Ruth has been involved in volunteer work in Cambodia since 2006 and has been connected to Sovann Komar since 2009. She taught in our school for two years from 2014-2016 and during that time founded SKOPE. She now works as a part-time writer to support her charity work. Ruth is originally from the UK but currently calls Phnom Penh home.
SOTHEA ARUN
Sovann Komar Director
Sothea Arun co-founded Sovann Komar in 2003 with Elizabeth Ross Johnson. He has adopted seven children and has two biological sons too. Arun is the director of the children's village and he cares passionately about community outreach work. He helps Ruth connect with schools and donors for SKOPE's projects.
MOROKOT CHEATCHAN
Accountant
Morokot has been working at Sovann Komar since 2003 and is now also involved in SKOPE. She helps Ruth to organise the donation days and always comes along to support them. She's SKOPE's go-to person when we need something done, whether it's booking transport, arranging deliveries, or coordinating finances.
